Is this you?

This Course Was Built For Three Types of People

New York State requires 81 hours of approved training before you can sit for the Fire Alarm and Security Installers License exam. If you're in any of these categories, this is where you start.

Fire Alarm & Security Technicians

You're already in the field. You know the work. Now make it official — get the license that lets you operate legally, sign off on jobs, and charge what you're actually worth in New York State.

Electrical Contractors

You've been doing electrical work for years. Adding the NYS Fire Alarm and Security Installers License expands your service offering, opens a new market, and keeps more revenue in-house.

Entrepreneurs Starting a Fire Alarm Company

You want to build a fire alarm and security business in New York. The license is not optional, it is the foundation. Without it, you cannot legally operate. This course is where it starts.

The problem

Why Most People Never Get Licensed

Getting the NYS Fire Alarm and Security Installers License is not complicated, but most people fail because of one or more of these reasons.

They take a course taught by someone with no real field experience so the instruction doesn't connect to actual job conditions or the exam.

They have to track down NFPA code books on their own spending hundreds extra before the course even starts.

They study without structured Q&A and practice exams, then walk into the real exam without knowing what to expect.

They go through the 81 hours with no ongoing community or support and have no one to ask questions once the class ends.

They sit in oversized classes of 50+ where questions go unanswered and instruction is generic, not specific to their situation.

They delay getting licensed for months or years losing out on contracts, revenue, and the ability to operate legally in New York State.

The Complete Offer

$2,500 Gets You Everything.
Nothing Extra to Buy.

Most 81-hour courses charge you for instruction and leave you to piece together code books, study materials, and support on your own. Here, everything is included in one enrollment.

The Curriculum

81 Hours. 5 Modules. Everything Tested.

The curriculum is structured across five modules — each with its own workbook and 30-question Q&A pack. Every topic is taught from 25 years of real field experience.

Your Instructor

Taught by Someone Who Does This Work Every Day

Anthony T. Richardson is not a trainer who studied fire alarms. He owns an active fire alarm and security company, holds the New York State license, and teaches from 25 years of real work not from a textbook.

When Anthony teaches the 81-hour course, every topic connects to actual field conditions and real exam patterns. He knows what inspectors look for, how the DOB filing process works in NYC, what the exam is actually testing and how to get you through it prepared.

Secure IT Securities Corp. has completed major fire alarm installations for Metro North MTA Train Stations, Yeshiva University, and the Delaware Valley Job Corps. Anthony brings that level of real-world experience into every class session.

Class size is capped at 25 students. That is intentional. Every student gets real instruction, answered questions, and engagement that doesn't happen in a room of 50.

Everything You Need to Plan Ahead

First Class Fills Fast. Register Now.

25 seats. State-approved. The only course taught by an active NYS licensed contractor. When these seats are gone, the next class won't be until later this year.

Who is required to take the 81 hour course?

Anyone applying for the New York State Fire Alarm and Security Installers License must complete 81 hours of state-approved training before sitting for the licensing exam. This is a legal requirement not optional. Without it, you cannot take the exam.

Do I need to buy the code books seperately?

No. NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and the IBC are all included in your $2,500 enrollment. Most courses make you track down and purchase your own code books before class even starts — we include them because you need them to pass and we want you to pass.

Where is the class held and when will I get details?

The class is held in New York City. The exact venue, address, and full class schedule will be sent to all enrolled students one week before the course begins. You'll have everything you need well ahead of the first session.

Is this course approved by the New York State?

Yes. Anthony T. Richardson is a New York State approved 81-hour course instructor teaching from the state-approved and accredited curriculum. Completing this course satisfies the 81-hour requirement exactly as written under NYS law.

Why is the class limited to 25 students

Because this is not a mass-enrollment course where you sit in a room of 50 people and hope the instructor answers your question. Every student in this class gets real instruction, real answers, and real engagement throughout all 81 hours. The cap is intentional and it stays at 25.

What is the difference between your NYS license and NICET certification?

The NYS Fire Alarm and Security Installers License is a state credential required to legally operate as a fire alarm contractor in New York State. NICET is a separate national certification recognized in all 50 states. They are not the same thing. Many serious professionals pursue both. Anthony offers NICET certification prep at every level through the SIS Training Center.

What does the lifetime access skool community include?

Lifetime access to the Secure IT professional training community on Skool. Peer support, Q&A, accountability check-ins, and ongoing resources that don't disappear when the course ends. This is not a 90-day trial. Lifetime means lifetime.

I'm an electrical contractor is this course right for me?

Yes. The NYS Fire Alarm and Security Installers License is a natural extension for licensed electricians. The course covers fire alarm and security system installation — much of which overlaps with electrical work you already do. Adding this license expands your legal scope and opens contracts you currently have to turn down.

What is the total cost with everything included?

$2,500 is the all-in price. There are no hidden fees, no separate charges for code books, and no add-ons to purchase. Everything included: NFPA 72, NFPA 70, IBC, student workbooks for all 5 modules, 150 Q&A (30 per module), course syllabus for every module, exam frameworks and cheat sheets, and lifetime Skool community access.
